Twenty authors drawn from various disciplines, the majority of them scientists and members of the Theosophical Society, have contributed papers to this book.
The papers are a selection from those presented at the Theosophy Science Seminar held at the Centenary International Convention of the Theosophical Society at Adyar in 1975.
The main aim of the papers is to bring out the relevance of modern science and thought to the principles of the Ancient Wisdom or Theosophy and vice versa. This unity of purpose is delineated through the study of science, its philosophy and the problems caused by technology.
The challenging poser that modern developments in biology are incomplete without positing an inherent guiding intelligence in nature has been further developed by studies relating physics to metaphysics, on Moon explorations, on the underlying principles governing organisms , and passing on to psychic research and philosophy.
The current problem of religions vis a vis the quest for deeper experience of Truth is examined , as also the place of yoga in the light of man’s expanding power to control nature.
This book is an imprint of the Theosophical Publishing House, Adyar, and is imported from India.
